Who is Faye?

I was born on a lovely day of September in San Juan. But now I live in Quezon City and work as a homebased English instructor to non English speakers like Koreans. I live with my family. My parents were blessed with 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy. My father is a seaman, but still we can feel his presence because of the constant communication we have with him. I thank God for having this kind of family though we are really noisy when everybody is around.

My name is Maria Fe B. Recalde. My close friends call me Feng, but people from professional world call me Faye. I could still remember when I was in elementary, I was always awarded with BEST IN DEPORTMENT, and maybe they can see the good values that I possess. In college, I took up Journalism, where in I think I should really practice nowadays. I took up that major because writing is fun and it’s one of my hobbies. I can express myself more into writing.

Life for me is living with God. Without Him, I won’t be who I am now. I believe that He uses people around me or even the experiences that I had to mold me and become the person that He wants me to be. Living a Christian life isn’t that easy. But having a walk with Him all the days of my life lessens all the burdens that I got. I always try to avoid depending on my own will and trust Him. I love Him so much but I know He loves me more than I do.

I faithfully believe that someday I’ll get married to the right person that God will present to me. I’ll walk in the aisle carrying that bouquet of flowers with a sweet smile from my face. I know that on my wedding day, me and my partner will stand and promise before God. Now, I’m still waiting for that man who has enough integrity and a servant’s heart before God. I just have to enjoy my singleness with my Savior as part of my eternal investment. He knows the desires of my heart, and one of them is to have my own family in the future.

I’ll write more about myself in the future, specially when I work in America or Australia which will be another chapter in my life. While I was writing this article, there’s a smile in my heart. I enjoyably wrote something about myself, hoping that you’ll also pleasurably read it.
