Tips to Get Your Kids to Eat Their Veggies

Moms would always want their families to be healthy but one of the struggles that they face on their kids’ eating habits is how to get them eat their veggies. Kids would just snob those greens on their plates. And moms even run after them just to put those veggies on their mouth. So here’s the issue, how can you make your child enjoy to eat those nutritious veggies? Here are some tips to solve the issue and help them to be healthier.

1.Be a Model- Kids always imitate what their parents do. We can encourage them to eat healthy foods like vegetables if they see mom and dad eating some. It will be better if you will sit beside them during meal time and show them that you put those greens on your plate and enjoyably eating them. You'll see that they'll likely do the same thing without pushing them.

2.Make it a Usual Pattern- Make sure that veggies are always part of meal times. Exposing them to vegetables will make them more curious specially if they see mom and dad eating them several times. In every meal, your kid should have atleast one veggie. It will be difficult at first but as you try to do it everyday, they'll be eager to eat them.

3.Present Veggies Creatively- They love to see shapes and colors, so to catch their attention, we should be creative enough to increase their appetite when it comes to vegetables. Try to make some cute shapes by cutting up those vegetables. Present them on their plates with unique and cute presentation. For them this is fun and will make them more excited to eat them.

4.Think Of Their Taste Buds – Try to observe adults and children when eating veggies. It's not difficult for us to eat them compared to kids. Why? They have sensitive taste buds than us. They dont like the taste of veggies, for them, they are bitter. Try to make some recipe where we can add up some vegetables. A recipe that they really like. This will lessen the taste of bitterness on their taste buds and they can eat veggies pleasurably.

5.Make It A Rule – Make it a rule that every one should have the same meal served. If this doesn't happen, you're kid will choose his own meal before him and this will make him choosy which is a wrong practice. But if you're consistent with your rule, they're going to eat what you served. There's one problem about this, kids dont like greens on their plates, but make sure that they must take even one bite. Taking a bite will make them taste it more and more.
